"Celebrating The Freedom Fighters & Bitcoin Pioneers"

Series 1 was the inaugural release of Bitcoin Trading Cards, which debuted at the Pacific Bitcoin 2022 conference November 10th and 11th, 2022 in Santa Monica, California.

History[]

The first of specifically themed card series to help Bitcoiners "Orange Pill" their friends, families and complete strangers. Series 1's theme is "Celebrating the Pioneers".

The series contains two special categories called Influencers and Resources.

"To highlight the amazing brands, products and influencers in the Bitcoin and financial freedom space. These categories are meant to give the student/collector the tools necessary to help catapult them through the learning process with proven & reputable resources."

It also highlights three types of influencers: Bitcoin Artists, Freedom Fighters, Bitcoin Warriors.

The series contains a number of exclusive cards and limited editions, as well as, individually numbered cards and special foil cards. The supply of each varies by rarity.

Events[]

Pacific Bitcoin 2022[]

Bitcoin Trading Cards launched at this conference November 2022. To commemorate the launch, two special edition cards were created for the first two slots of Series 1. Those cards are only available in specifically branded "Pacific Bitcoin 2022" card packs given away at the conference.

Card Packaging[]

Bitcoin Trading Cards Series 1 cards were distributed by two varieties of card packs; a Standard pack labeled "Orange Pill in a Pack" and a Limited pack labeled "Pacific Bitcoin 2022". Each pack contained 10 cards with a guarantee to get at least 1 "Special Foil Card."

Collectors could buy single standard packs for $21 each or a box of standard packs for $500 each. The limited edition card packs were only given to attendees at Pacific Bitcoin 2022, as special giveaways or to collectors buying a full box while supplies lasted.

A total of 9,982 card packs were created for Series 1, distributed in Basic card packs, Special Edition card packs and 24 pack card boxes. A collector can roughly estimate a total of 98,982 cards were part of Series 1.

The number of boxes created for Series 1 was limited to 328. These were basic card boxes; no special edition card boxes were made for Series 1.

Limited Editions[]

Pacific Bitcoin Cards[]

Cards #1 and #2 of Series 1 are limited edition Pacific Bitcoin cards commemorating the Pacific Bitcoin events of 2022 and 2023. They are limited edition foil cards only found in Pacific Bitcoin branded packets.

"The Lost Cards"[]

Series 1 initially shipped with only 63 cards but numbered 65 cards on the marketing materials and on Series 1, Card #65 itself. The missing two cards are the Series 1 "Easter Eggs".

The creator, Alladin, explains it:

"So we have two cards called 'The Lost Cards.' They are ones we had created and talked with the two people/projects about adding them but they never finalized the approval. At the last minute we had to take them out. I'm confident we can get them both and have already locked in one of them for sure now, so we plan to do something fun with them."

The Series 1 Easter Egg cards are card #16 and card #60.
